WEEKLY CRUMBL | 10.18.24

Today we're kicking the week off with a little Weekly Crumbl Cookies review of last week's flavors! The line-up was: Cherry Cheesecake, Chocolate Cupcake, Lemon Crinkle, Maple Glaze, Pumpkin Roll and Snickerdoodle. They also featured their classic Chocolate Chip and Pink Donut which we skipped. The only repeat offender for me from this week was Lemon Crinkle, all others I hadn't tried previously.

I was the most excited for Pumpkin Roll this week- I'm a sucker for anything pumpkin with cream cheese. It's one of the best fall combos + perfect for this month. Also surprisingly, it ended up being my favorite flavor! Usually the ones I'm the most excited about end up being my least favorite, lol. This one definitely had a softer, cake-like texture that I think was spot on to a pumpkin roll. It also had a cinnamon roll filling element which so yummy + the cream cheese glaze was delicious. It reminded me a lot of cinnamon roll pancakes with a pumpkin flare. So good!

My next favorite also surprised me- Cherry Cheesecake. I'm not a big cherry or cheesecake gal but I do like cheesecake if it's done right. This one had a nice flavor, not too sweet + very smooth. I also think they improved the crust from the last time I tried one of the cheesecakes. It was a lot less crumby and more intact like you expect from a graham cracker crust. The cherry flavor was also great- a little tart and a great balance to the cheesecake.

I would rank Maple Glaze, Chocolate Cupcake and Lemon Crinkle all in a similar ranking. I really enjoyed the flavor of Maple Glaze- not too overpowering and I like brown sugar cookie base. I also loved the glaze and would love more on top- it definitely made it all come together! The Lemon Crinkle also has a bright, zingy flavor which I like. Ours was a bit on the crunchy side this time but the flavor was good. The best part of Chocolate Cupcake for me was the frosting- definitely spot on to the classic canned chocolate frosting which I love. The cookie part to me wasn't noteworthy. Ours was more on the dry + crunchy side which didn't give cupcake vibes to me.

Snickerdoodle was exactly how it should be- a cinnamon sugar cookie. I'm not as big of a fan of the regular Crumbl flavors (I like more specialty + toppings) so this one was my least favorite, however I think the flavor execution was spot on for snickerdoodle.

Which flavors would you pick to try?

TOP 5 MOST POPULAR BLOG POSTS | 11.15.24

Can you believe Thanksgiving is only a little over two weeks away? November has just scooted itself right on by which means it's time to do a little blog post round-up. Every month around the halfway point I like to share the most popular blog posts of the last thirty days. It's kind of nice because you get a little dip into both the current + previous months. This month in particular is a lot of foodie posts + some unboxings! Happy to see you too share the same love for two of my favorite things ;) Here's the line-up for November:

1. TASTE TESTING LESSER EVIL'S PUMPKIN SPICE POPCORN - In true fall and November fashion, my review of the Lesser Evil Pumpkin Spice Popcorn is at the top of the list! I first tried this a few years ago and it's still a limited time flavor they come out with every year. I'm a big fan of their products + the healthier, high-quality ingredients that they use.

2. REVIEWING YASSO GREEK YOGURT BARS - Another foodie fave of mine are the Yasso Greek Yogurt Bars. These are so delicious and a great, healthier option to regular ice cream. Because they're made with yogurt, they have a higher protein + the calories aren't too bad either.

3. OURA RING UNBOXING - My trusty sidekick! Since purchasing the Oura Ring, I've worn it almost every single day and I always wear it to bed. It's a wearable ring to track your sleep, daily activity, readiness levels + more. I also love that it tracks my cycle + other health metrics. It's great if you love to read data + see trends over time! I have the Generation 3 in gold, however the new Generation 4 just came out! You can also now buy them all on Amazon here which is awesome!

4. SUNDAY FOREVER FRAGRANCE UNBOXING - For some good smells, I love the Sunday Forever fragrances. They have several scents that I think are great for the warmer, summer months. For more info, be sure to check out the unboxing here

5. SALT & STONE DEODORANT REVIEW + RESTOCK HAUL - My beloved Salt & Stone deodorant has made it into this list this month!! I have tried countless "clean," aluminum-free deodorants and the Salt & Stone formula is the best I've found so far. For lighter days or when I don't need a traditional deodorant, I love this! The scents are great and they have a sensitive formula that I love.

Happy Friday! What are your weekend plans?

HOLIDAY MCCORMICK FINISHING SUGARS

I *finally* found them! You may or may not have heard about the new viral McCormick Finishing Sugars that were released for the holiday season. They are limited edition flavored sugar crystals you can use for baking, coffee, drinks and more. They came out with six flavors: Candy Cane, English Toffee, Gingerbread Spice, Hot Cocoa, Salted Caramel & White Frosting. When they were first released a few months back, they sold out immediately and have gone viral. Since then, they've re-released them in select stores but they've been super hard to find and a lot of people are re-selling them online for 5x the price. Lol.

As a baking enthusiast, coffee drinker and sugar addict, I was immediately sold on them. Why wouldn't I want holiday flavored sugar? Yessssss plsssss. Of course I immediately needed to have them which turned into a problem because like everyone else, I COULDN'T FIND THEM ANYWHERE. Nothing motivates me more than not being able to find something and refusing to accept defeat and pay 5x the price online, my wild goose chase began! I swear this happens to me every year though! There is always some new limited holiday item out that I just have to have but can never seem to find in stores. Small town probs, I guess?

I started checking all the local grocery stores in my town + Walmart. McCormick stated they would be released at Walmart and select retailers nationwide. They also suggested using their online store locator which I did, however none of the stores listed in my area had any in stock. I also had no luck stalking Amazon and Walmart online, however I read a lot of comments that Walmart has been restocking often. Several people also said you could order online + pickup if your store was in stock.

I kept checking the store locator on McCormick's site and one day, a new location for my local grocery store chain was added. Thinking it was a long shot but still determined to find them, I decided to go check and I lucked out! This store had all of them in-stock on a small little shelf near the endcap of the baking aisle. I know Walmart has an entire McCormick free standing display for theirs, however I expected other stores to have a smaller display in the baking aisle or in the seasonal, holiday section. My particular store didn't have them in any type of displayer, just sitting together on a little metal rack. They were technically in the baking aisle though- hopefully that helps if you're still on the hunt!

I haven't tried any of them out yet but I'm excited to use for hot chocolate and cookies this season! I was fortunate enough to find all flavors but I'm most excited for the Salted Caramel and English Toffee. Sadly no one ever seems to make enough of anything limited edition but I'm sure based on the demand that they are trying to make as many as possible. I also think we can expect them to come out again next year. I'll post an update once I try them all out + let you know how they are!

I'll also go ahead and link them all for you in my Amazon Storefront here. If you want to catch them, I suggest adding them to a wish-list + then keeping an eye for restocks! You'll be able to find them faster and it should show when they are back in stock to purchase.

Which flavor sounds the yummiest to you?
